Suspect Named in Fatal Shooting of Houston Attorney at McDonald’s

Authorities Identify Suspect in Fatal Shooting of Houston Attorney at McDonald’s, Anthony Martin Landry, aged 57, faces murder charges following allegations from the Houston Police Department that he shot and killed 46-year-old Jeffrey Limmer on May 4.

Houston police are currently on the lookout for Landry after he purportedly shot Limmer and fled the scene in a blue pickup truck.

According to KTRK, police stated that an altercation began after Limmer attempted to calm down Landry, who was reportedly upset with McDonald’s employees. The altercation escalated, leading Limmer to push Landry to the ground outside the restaurant. Allegedly, Landry then retrieved a firearm from his car and shot the attorney.

“He loved fiercely his family and friends,” said Limmer’s sister Jennifer Thomas to KTRK. She also expressed pride in her brother for standing up for the McDonald’s workers and acting as a “good Samaritan.”

Limmer was employed as an attorney at Lewis Brisbois’ Houston office. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and later attended law school at South Texas College of Law, as noted on the firm’s website.

Anyone with information regarding Landry’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
