A former high school teacher in Pulaski County, Hailey Clifton-Carmack, has admitted to having sexual contact with a student. Clifton-Carmack, who previously taught at Laquey High School, is set to be sentenced on Friday, October 11th, at 11 a.m. She faces several charges, including child endangerment, statutory rape, sexual contact with a student, child molestation, and providing pornographic material to a minor. report from The NY Post.
Court documents revealed that the investigation began when a student reported a sexual relationship with Clifton-Carmack. It was noted that she had prior issues with the school administration over her conduct towards students.
During the investigation, a witness overheard a phone conversation between Clifton-Carmack and the student. Authorities examined her phone and found conversations between her and the victim. Another witness later informed law enforcement that the victim’s father was aware of the relationship and claimed that students acted as “lookouts” while Clifton-Carmack and the student engaged in sexual activity on school grounds. Clifton-Carmack was apprehended in Texas and brought back to Missouri. Her employment with the school was terminated on December 8, according to previous reports.
