“People love our First Lady. Go out and get a book. She just wrote a book. I hope she said good things about me… I don’t know. I didn’t [read it], so busy,” Trump said, according to The Independent. The memoir, titled Melania, will be released on October 8.
Trump jokingly added, “If she says bad things about me, I’ll call you all up and say, don’t buy it.”
While Melania has kept a low profile during her husband’s presidential campaign, she recently became active on social media to promote her memoir, hinting at a conspiracy surrounding an assassination attempt on Trump during a July 13 rally. In the book, she promises to share “the truth” and her perspective, countering public scrutiny.
